Social media for the Pump series

Every series needs its community. Social networks offer an exceptional opportunity to dial it in, moderate it and get feedback. For the Pump series, we chose Facebook as the first step.

The Pump series glosses information of current social events. Through the medium of Misha, an under-educated historian and head of Pumpa, it offers honesty, directness. Dano is a taxi driver who feels the need to comment on absolutely everything. Jari is the last character, who soothes the couple’s dynamic with his passive presence.

Based on the above, we have divided the content of the communication into three blocks: humour, education and history. The thematic blocks are complemented by a daily reminder of the best lines of the last episode.

Success and authorship

The series fought its way through strong competition to become the most watched title on RTVS. We are glad that we could contribute to this success.

The creator of the series is Picnic Pictures Production Company, which was founded in 2005. Since then it has been working with the biggest Slovak broadcasters and leading companies on the market.
Their portfolio includes feature films, documentaries, original series and adapted foreign TV formats. The constant search for original and engaging formats to enhance the quality of Slovak television is a core mission for this team.
